The coverage of Slovenia in this book was poor. Slovenia is only about 20% of the book. It missed quite a few big hotels and restaurants. Postojna needs a whole lot more detail as it omits the stellar hotel at the caves. Piran is the gem of Slovenia and get short shrift in the book/5(93).

If you are going to do Slovenia and Croatia on your own, this book is extremely helpful. We just got back from a trip of five days in Croatian Dalmatian coast and 2 days in Slovenia with a day of travel in between the two.

We were there at the end of September which is an excellent time to visit as far as not having to deal with crowds except /5().
